The present study was conducted to evaluate the status of biotic components of Upper Lake of Bhopal which is an important Ramsar Wetland in Central India. The lake besides being an important source of potable water to the city dwellers is also an important site of biodiversity. The lake has become a victim of urban pressure due to increase population and resultant anthropogenic activities in the catchment. This has resulted changes in biotic components of the wetland. The data generated for the year 2009-2010 is discussed in relation to anthropogenic pressure.
