Abstract

Cardiac tamponade is a life-threatening emergency. Pyopericardium is one of the rare causes of cardiac tamponade. There are less than 40 cases of adult Pyopericardium reported in medical literature. Here we report an unusual case of Pyopericardium with cardiac tamponade, which was found to be due to Staphylococcus aureus
